Products
Organic Planet Worker Co-op stocks products with the goal of providing organic, local and fairly traded goods. When possible we purchase from other co-ops. We carry produce, bulk goods, cold and frozen products, dairy and meat, as well as non-toxic health and beauty products.
Produce
Our produce coolers feature a wide variety of certified organic fruits and vegetables all the time. You may find a food you've never seen before! (Pomelo, anyone?) During peak season (late summer), over half our produce is locally grown. Buying local lessens environmental impact in shipping, supports our local economy and saves on transportation costs.
Grocery
The grocery section carries dry, cold and frozen goods. On the shelves you should find everything you need to prepare a wholesome meal. (Or perhaps a quick snack.) In the grocery cooler, a selection of organic milk, cheese and sandwich fillings, in both dairy and vegan varieties. The freezer features a selection of organic frozen desserts, fruit and ready made meals. We also carry locally raised, ethically treated organic meats.
Bulk Goods
Buying bulk saves on the costs (both financial and environmental) of excessive packaging. We are pleased to offer a variety of organic bulk goods such as pastas, beans, rices, grains, cereals, herbs and teas. We also have a selection of fair trade organic coffee beans, chocolate, dried fruit, nuts and sweet treats.
Health and Beauty Products
Our fastest growing section. We stock a selection of organic skin, hair and oral care items; biodegradable household cleaning products; vitamins, essential oils, herbal extracts and tinctures. We also carry wild-crafted salves and reusable menstrual products.
